Hexadrone

Hexadrone is a non-methylated designer prohormone that gained popularity as one of the last legal 'prohormones' before widespread scheduling. It is a chlorinated steroid that does not require liver methylation for oral activity, theoretically reducing hepatotoxicity compared to methylated compounds.

Mechanism of Action

A 6-chloro substituted androstene that binds to androgen receptors directly without requiring metabolic conversion. The chloro group at the 6-position provides resistance to hepatic metabolism, enabling oral bioavailability without 17-alpha-alkylation. Does not aromatize to estrogen. Provides moderate anabolic effects.

Dosing Research

Typically dosed at 50-100 mg per day in oral form. Cycles of 4-8 weeks are common. Due to its non-methylated nature, it can theoretically be run for longer cycles than methylated compounds. PCT is still required. Often stacked with other non-methylated prohormones.

Side Effects & Risks

Lower hepatotoxicity than methylated steroids but liver stress is still possible. Androgenic side effects including hair loss and acne. Negative impact on lipid profiles. HPTA suppression. Very limited safety data. The long-term effects of chlorinated steroids on human health are unknown.
