Halodrol

Also known as: Chlorodehydromethylandrostenediol, H-Drol, 4-chloro-17a-methyl-androst-1,4-diene-3b,17b-diol

Halodrol is a designer prohormone that acts as a precursor to oral Turinabol (chlorodehydromethyltestosterone). It was one of the most popular 'legal steroids' sold as a dietary supplement before being banned. It provides moderate lean gains with relatively manageable side effects for a methylated compound.

Mechanism of Action

Acts as a prohormone that converts to chlorodehydromethyltestosterone (oral Turinabol) via hepatic metabolism. The conversion involves oxidation of the 3-beta-hydroxy group to a 3-keto group. Once converted, it binds androgen receptors and provides moderate anabolic activity. Does not aromatize significantly.

Dosing Research

Typically dosed at 50-100 mg per day in oral form. Cycles of 4-6 weeks. Conversion efficiency to oral Turinabol is estimated but not precisely quantified. Liver support supplements recommended due to methylation. PCT is required.

Side Effects & Risks

Hepatotoxicity from 17-alpha-methylation, though considered moderate relative to compounds like Superdrol. Negative lipid profile changes. HPTA suppression. Low estrogenic activity. Androgenic side effects are mild to moderate. Back pumps and lethargy reported at higher doses. Long-term safety unknown.
